Things were very busy here at the Workshop through the holidays… thanks to all who ordered and gifted the Delightful Fan Ornaments!
Just back from a week in Maui where I took advantage of warm days to read and walk along the beach. Just now into a book called The Gift by Lewis Hyde. A must for anyone interested in Art, Creativity and Commerce.
New works coming soon – please stay tuned!
There’s nothing I like more than sending my creations out in the world where they will add sparkle and light to someone’s day. I am thrilled with the boxes I ordered from PaperMart – they were delivered quickly and are just perfect for packing and shipping my new fan ornaments.
Best of all, I am able to offer drop ship to any address for $3! Just in time for the Holiday Gift Giving Season!

Julie, owner of the beautiful Mill Valley Craft store, Once Around, has posted a wonderful series of photos of the Brazenwench Workshop Fan Ornaments currently available in her store. Her attention to detail is superb and it shows in her store as well as her pics!
I am now working on custom orders for the holidays. Here are some of my (not so professional, but you get the idea:) pics…
Each ornament is lovingly handcrafted and named after the fashion house or photo shoot from which it was created. (Juicy Couture, PRADA, CHANEL and St John are featured in this post.) Ornaments are $13 each, (plus $3. S+H) individually packaged, and can be shipped to any address in time for Xmas!

I founded Brazenwench Workshop in 1998 when I began handcrafting boxes from recycled materials. The Workshop has evolved to include paper and textiles, and is dedicated to honoring the creative process.
This blog is a forum to share my ideas and creations with you. I hope to inspire you to take out your crayons, paper, paint, scissors and glue! (Or to support your favorite artisan by purchasing their work!) In this age of mass production, creating (and giving) one of a kind pieces invokes grace, cultivates patience and nurtures the heart. Don’t forget to add glitter!

I got the idea to make these delightful paper ornaments from a MOMA store catalogue. Then I restructured and refined their version, creating these elegant, one of a kind keepsakes.
Mine are made from recycled calendars, books, and fashion magazines and are finished
with Martha Stewart’s very fine glitter. They are a delightful addition to your holiday decorations, but can also be displayed year round in a window or quiet corner where they will turn gently in the air and add sparkle to your day.
They make a perfect little Hostess Gift, an unexpected Thank You, or a Holiday Treasure. Give a set of three to the person on your list whose home is a feast for the senses.
Colors vary and sizes are 5″ diameter to 16″ diameter.
Find them On Sale Now at Once Around in Mill Valley, CA. Place a custom order by emailing email@example.com or by calling Alicia at 508-843-1547.
